A New Way To Eat Spaghetti

Being married to an Italian man we frequently eat pasta and I only knew a few recipes prior to meeting him. This one is so simple and has only five ingredients! This makes a good amount, so if you are only making this for two, you can cut it in half and still bake it in a 9×13 or in an 8×8. Or keep it how it is and have it for lunch the next day like we do! I’m not very particular when it comes to marinara and typically we use Classico’s Tomato & Garlic. I have made sauce from scratch a few times and it just takes way too much time. For this recipe I buy one of the best store bought sauces, Rao’s marinara. This stuff is ridiculously expensive for pasta sauce… I’m talking 9 bucks for a jar. BUT I always have the other ingredients on hand, so a $9 meal is pretty good if you ask me! Hope you enjoy a new way to eat spaghetti!


Spaghetti Squares

16. oz of spaghetti (I use angel hair)
27.5 oz jar of pasta sauce
2 eggs
1 cup skim milk
1 and 1/4 tsp garlic salt
2 cups part skim mozzarilla

-Preheat oven to 425 degrees and coat 9×13 baking dish with spray.
-Break noodles in 2 inch pieces and cook according to the instructions on the box and drain. Do NOT overcook it.
-Beat the eggs, milk and garlic salt. Mix this and the pasta together, slowly adding in 1 and 1/2 cups of the cheese.
-Put the pasta mixture in the dish and bake for 15 minutes.
-Take out of the oven and lower the temp to 350 degrees. Pour the pasta sauce all over the top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
-Bake for 30 minutes.
-Let it cool for few minutes and cut  it in squares to serve!
