Peach Dump Cake

My mouth is watering just looking at that picture. Ladies and Gents this was a sweet little concoction I tested from Bakerella. I love this woman’s baked creations. I often find myself smiling as I read her website and her cake pop book (that I own). Cupcakes, cake pops and brownies oh my! And the name Bakerella…love it. We celebrated my dad’s birthday with this delicious dessert as he is a peach lover!

This was SO easy! I kinda wished that somebody would’ve been too full from dinner and passed on their share as I would have taken seconds…it was that good!

Peach Dump Cake by Bakerella

24.5 oz jar of sliced peaches in light syrup
1 package yellow cake mix
1 stick butter (1/2 cup), cut into 16 pieces
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
(she only used ½ of walnuts, I’m a fan of pecans and liked the added crunch!)

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly coat a 9×13 dish with cooking spray.

-Pour the peaches and syrup into dish and cut the peaches into smaller pieces to cover the entire dish (I just cut them in the dish!).

-Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches.

-Take the 16 slices of butter and lay them over the dry cake mix (space them evenly).

-Next Sprinkle the brown sugar all over, followed by the pecans on top.

-Bake for 40 minutes and serve warm.

*I served mine with fat-free cool whip or you could add a scoop of ice cream!

    YUM! I’ve been making dump cake for years but this sounds even better than my recipe–the brown sugar and peaches–oh my!! Making it tonight for overnight guests!
