Tip Tuesday: DIY Funnel

Need to refill your salt and pepper shakers? Do you make your own safe disinfectant spray and need to add more vinegar to the bottle? Need to add more motor oil to your car and would like a disposal funnel to make less of a mess? Funnels can be a real life savor in and out of the kitchen!

For those of you that don’t own one or you just can’t find yours when you need it the most (my life to a “T”), then today’s tip will come in handy.

For a DIY funnel all you need is a piece of foil and fold it in half.Start from one end and roll the foil, making it large and loose.Take your pointer finger and insert it at one of the open ends of the foil roll. Start to pinch the foil around your finger making a nice mold. With your finger in place, use your other hand to move any layers on the foil inside the cone to the side, making a large opening to hold objects you need to funnel. When you remove your finger the foil should remain molded, thus creating the exit spout of your DIY funnel!

Even if you don’t have to refill your salt shaker or give your car a oil change, you could still make this foil funnel as a cheap play toy for your kid to play with in the sand or bath!
